RESEARCH & TRAINING FACILITIES

​As a centre of excellence for tropical infectious diseases, TIDREC is well equipped with the necessary facilities to perform biosurveillance activities and pathogen screening through next generation sequencing, microarray and Luminex assay. With a fully certified modular and mobile Biosafety Level 3 laboratory, working on selected agents such as Nipah virus, Brucella and other emerging infectious diseases is possible even on the fields. 

 

As a centre emphasizing on the importance and practice of biosafety, proper storage facility of infectious organisms is available at the centre. The storage facility is well equipped with an organized inventory system. Limited access to the storage facility is given only to authorized personnel. 

 

TIDREC is an accredited testing laboratory for MS ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation for its services in the hope to better serve the community.
